The free version gives you the full main ledger, plus 1 travel ledger, 1 shared ledger and 1 account. Splitting, settlement reports, voice entry, multi-currency and charts are all included — with no ads. Premium makes travel and shared ledgers unlimited, and unlocks the weekly and monthly reports, year in review, deep insights, the travel footprint map and recap center, iCloud backup and data export.

Only when you create a second travel ledger or a second shared ledger will the app suggest upgrading. Everything in the first one is fully open, so you can use it as long as you like before deciding. Premium comes with a 3-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime during the trial.

You can cancel in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. You keep premium until the period ends, then go back to the free limits. Nothing is deleted — ledgers beyond the limit move to "kept for you" with every entry intact, and resubscribing unlocks them all again.

A shared ledger is one ledger you keep together with family, roommates or your partner. You send a link, they tap it, and they're in — no account to create, no friends to add. Everyone sees every entry, synced automatically over iCloud. The other person doesn't need to pay: the free version on each side is enough to share one ledger. And shared money stays separate, so it never lands in your own monthly report, budget or charts.

Yes. You can hold a seat for them in the member list — they can be included in splits and in the shared fund without ever installing the app. If they do install it later, they claim that seat through the invite link and all the past records line up.

The yearly subscription ($7.99/year) saves you $3.89 per year compared to the monthly subscription ($0.99/month). Both offer identical features—the only difference is the payment cycle.

Treemap is a visual chart that uses block sizes to intuitively show spending proportions by category. Larger blocks indicate higher spending in that category. Tap a block to view detailed transaction records for that category.

Minimal Expense: Travel, Split supports all ISO 4217 standard currencies (over 170 currencies), including 19 popular ones: NTD, CNY, USD, JPY, KRW, THB, SGD, EUR, GBP, AUD, VND, MYR, PHP, IDR, HKD, MOP, CAD, NZD, CHF. Exchange rates are updated automatically and regularly. When offline, the app uses the last successfully fetched rates.

No. Travel expenses belong to both the travel ledger and the main ledger. We use clear views and labels so you can easily switch between a 'travel view' and 'all spending'. You can choose whether to include travel expenses in the main ledger.

The Monthly Report is published automatically on the 1st of each month with your spending trend, category ranking, a rhythm calendar and a one-line summary. Year in Review is a once-a-year page-flip recap you can share as a card. Insights nudge you when a category runs about 30% above your usual, and show cross-month trends plus all fixed expenses. These are premium features.

Travel maps mark all your travel footprints on a map and show spending statistics by country/city. The travel recap center generates annual/quarterly recaps that you can share on social media. These are premium-only features.

Your data is stored locally on your device (using SwiftData). Free version data stays on the device only; premium subscribers can manually back up to iCloud (up to 3 backups) and restore when needed. Your data is never uploaded to our servers—you have complete control.

iCloud backup is a premium feature using manual backup/restore—not real-time sync. After subscribing, you can manually create backups to iCloud (up to 3) in Settings. To use the same data on a new device, go to the iCloud backup screen on that device and choose "Restore" to recover your data. The free version stores data on a single device only.

Assign expenses to your companions as you log them. At the end of the trip, open the settlement report to see who owes whom in one tap, and mark debts as settled. No separate bill-splitting app needed—logging and splitting happen in the same ledger.

Say one sentence like "Lunch cost twelve bucks" and the app automatically recognizes the amount and category. Confirm, and the entry is saved. It works fully offline and is available in the free version.
